About Michael
Finance leadership shaped by accounting, operations, systems, and commercial experience.
Michael Langell is a Financial Controller with acting CFO responsibilities and an MBA, based in the Salt Lake City area.
A practical path into accounting and finance leadership
Michael leads the accounting and finance function for an aerospace and defense manufacturer supporting United States Government contracts. His work spans financial reporting, project accounting, contract performance, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and executive decision support.
Before moving fully into accounting and operational finance, Michael held progressive marketing and commercial leadership roles. That experience developed a durable understanding of customers, revenue, operating execution, team leadership, and the decisions that financial information must support.
He later led accounting and operations for a multi-entity manufacturer, directing a NetSuite implementation and redesigning processes across purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, sales, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
Today, his focus is disciplined financial leadership for complex organizations, especially where government contracting, manufacturing, compliance, and business systems intersect.

Reliable controls and well-designed workflows improve both compliance and the speed of everyday decision-making.
Communicate the decision
Executives need concise analysis that connects financial results to operating choices, risk, and practical next steps.
